Got sick Sunday the 21st. Threw up all night, 8 times. Developed diahrea, severe stomach cramps, heartburn , and then had black stools for about three days, even though I felt a bit better. Then my boyfriend got the same this last Sunday! He's in worse shape than I was! Really, really bad stuff! I thought it was food poisoning at first. After reading everything here, now I know! How come we get warnings about H1N1, but not this stuff?

Like you, I got the bug on this past Saturday (4 1/2 days ago). Vomited on day 1, then felt like the walking dead: fever (low grade), chills, headache, EXTREME FATIGUE, sleeplessness, persistent mild nausea, diarrhea for a couple days. Now, Wednesday, I am still left feeling very fatigued, have low grade temp (99.7F), headache, and a little queasy. Appetite is fair to poor:living on toast, chicken noodle soup, crackers, and ginger ale. I am a physician and am growing tired of this crap (no pun). I went to see my PCP today and he told me that this years GI virus strain is very strong and keeping people down much longer than he has seen before. I can't wait for this to pass as this is a truly miserable experience!

This stuff came on so fast! I was at work.. going to the bathroom a little bit, but associated it to the BBQ for lunch. I left work at 6:20 and by 7:30 I felt weak, tired and my stomach was feeling bad. Within an hour, I was running fever and had wracking chills.. pooping like a firehose was attached to my butt. I ended up laying in the hall, outside the bathroom, with a space heater and my old dog trying to keep me from shivering. Spent the night there.. woke up this morning with fever and feeling shakey and weak. I did go on to work..I had to get a few things done and stayed away from everyone, and thought I was going to pass out. To say the least, my boss told me to take my sick butt home. No more bathroom volcanos.. just cant eat anything without wanting to just hurl. The worst thing is the up and down fever, and the wiped out feeling that comes over me.

I was wandering if this could be a sign of the stumach flu going around. My stumach is rolling has been all day long. My head hurts and I feel sick to my stumach.

Wow, my wife had this this past weekend and it's amazing that she was able to function and even nurse our baby, she is still not 100% recovered. I was unlucky enough to get it yesterday and wow, 6pm-2am was a living hell...puking and watery poop hourly. Woke up feeling okay and went to work even though I now have a headache.

Started with it on Friday night, suffered all night long until around 4am when the wife began her bout with the stomach bug. Luckily we have two bathrooms and a couple of buckets to facilitate the simultaneous evacuation of bodily fluids from both ends. Our children then got it on Sunday so, we've been a really busy household here trying to keep the bug away this year but, it managed to get in this time regardless of our efforts. Oh well, it's over with now for the most part...

I would also like to say a special thanks to all those "GUNG-HO" idiots that goto work while sick and spread it around to everyone....seriously, thanks guys!

Really, this is the worst ive felt. ive had the virus before, but it was never as bad as now. im throwing up constantly, at least 10 times in the past 12 hours. its exhausting, not letting me sleep. and i have horrible cramps. i think ive thrown up more in the past few hours than i have in the past 5 years.
i can FINALLY hold down fluids for more than 30mins now, so things are getting better. this virus needs to DIE
haha wish good health to everyone because ths really sucks and its not even so much of a 'bad' illness
