Stomach Flu (gastroenteritis)
This information is about stomach flu for adults and some information does not apply to children. You’ll learn what stomach flu is, what its symptoms are, what to eat when you have stomach flu and how to treat stomach flu.
Stomach flu is often called “intestinal flu.” It’s an illness caused by a virus, and it produces different symptoms in different people. What people call stomach flu is usually marked by nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and a general sick feeling.
How to Treat Stomach Flu Symptoms
First, you need to know that antibiotics, such as penicillin, don’t work on flu because antibiotics only kill bacteria. The flu is caused by a virus. Your body’s defenses do the best job in fighting the illness.
You can help your body fight the flu by getting as much rest as possible. Do light activities if you must do something, but rest as soon as you get tired. Stay home from work, unless your symptoms are mild. You’ll recover faster that way, and you won’t risk infecting others at work.
You should also drink enough fluids to avoid dehydration — but that takes some care when your symptoms are nausea and diarrhea. So let’s cover what you can do to relieve these symptoms.
What to Eat When You Have Stomach Flu
When your stomach is upset, the last thing it needs is food. If you feel nauseated, give your stomach a rest from food. Don’t eat or drink anything for about two hours. If you are vomiting, don’t eat or drink anything for about four hours. Then begin taking small sips of water. If you can keep the water down, gradually work up to small amounts — half-a-cup or less — of Gatorade, flat ginger ale, or half-water half-grape juice (don’t drink juice if you are also having diarrhea). Do this for four to eight hours. You can flatten ginger ale by stirring it to let the bubbles escape. If you are keeping down liquids, and feel like it, try eating saltine crackers or dry toast. Avoid sugary drinks, orange juice and other acidic beverages, and foods that are high in sugar, greasy or spicy.
You can also try the anti-nausea drug Dramamine if you are sure that you are not pregnant or allergic to it. Dramamine is not safe to take during pregnancy. This non-prescription medication is available at drug stores, and should be used as directed. If these measures don’t control your nausea, you should contact your healthcare provider. You should also call your healthcare provider if you take daily medication for any chronic medical condition and the nausea prevents you from taking your medicine.
Another common symptom of stomach flu is diarrhea. If you develop diarrhea, don’t eat or drink anything for four hours. Then start with sips of water and work up gradually, over several hours, to small amounts of ginger ale, Jell-O, Gatorade, or bouillon (clear soup). Again, you can also try saltines or dry toast. But don’t eat fruit juices or other solid foods for 24 to 48 hours. These foods will just stimulate the diarrhea. Sometimes dairy products also stimulate diarrhea after the initial flu, and therefore, it may be wise to stay away from dairy products for a few weeks.
After the first 24 to 48 hours, gradually resume eating solid foods like bananas, applesauce, or dry toast. Meanwhile, you can try the non-prescription medication Donagel or Kaopectate, as directed on the label, to help control diarrhea.
With diarrhea, you should call your healthcare provider if you don’t improve after three days — or if the diarrhea gets worse. Also call if your diarrhea is bloody, if you have severe abdominal cramps associated with nausea, vomiting and fever, or if you are sick after having recently returned from a trip to another country.
The stomach flu virus is contagious and can spread to family and friends
Viral gastroenteritis is contagious. The viruses that cause stomach flu are spread through close contact with infected persons (for example, by sharing food, water, or eating utensils of someone who has the stomach flu). So don’t let anyone eat or drink after you. You can also spread the virus by not washing your hands after cleaning up vomit or diarrhea, or after using the bathroom. So the best way to prevent the spread of the virus is washing your hands often and not spreading the virus for others.
Key points about stomach flu:
- Stomach flu can have different symptoms, but the common ones are nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
- Only your body can cure this condition, but you can help it do the job by getting plenty of rest.
- For nausea and vomiting, stop eating for two to four hours, then gradually introduce small amounts of water and other fluids. Avoid most solid foods for 24 hours.
- For diarrhea, don’t eat or drink for four hours; then gradually increase your intake of fluids. Avoid most solid foods and fruit juices for 24 to 48 hours.
- The stomach flu virus is contagious – don’t let anyone eat or drink after you.
- If your stomach flu symptoms are severe, unusual, or persistent, call your healthcare provider for advice.
Call your doctor or go to the emergency room if you have bloody diarrhea, if you become dehydrated (feel weak, lightheaded or dizzy, or your heart is racing), if you’ve been vomiting for more than 2 days or if you’re vomiting blood.

I just got over the stomach flu. I only had it for 1 day and now I’m trying to get back to eating. I still feel sick at times.
Frequent naps draped over the toliet sip of water (just enough to get your mouth wet really) clorox wipes, apple juice and cheese its work the best for me. Everything needs to be taken in small portions. Try not to eat anything til you haven’t vomited in a long while and your body is handling a good amount of liquid at one time. Take it slow. Get some sleep if you can find the time and if you can’t sleep just keep your brain busy with something. Let it run its course and it’ll be over soon enough, but yes, it felt like I was dying through and through.
I just experienced this 2 days ago. It was a nightmare. I had a friend bring over McDonalds at 10pm and by 2am, I was pooping like crazy, had a fever, body ache, and nausea. Tylenol didn’t help until about 16 hours later. My fever yoyo’d all day, I couldn’t move, I slept pretty much the entire day and my body hurt like crazy. I ended up in the ER to get IV fluids about 20 hours later only because I’m 6 months pregnant and my midwife was concerned about my rising temp. I also made the mistake of not forcing fluids for about 4 hours because I couldn’t stay awake long enough. Note to self: no more McDonalds
very good advice, especially not to eat anything for at least 24 hrs, have had gastro bug 4 days now, threw up so much had no moisture left in gut to throw,.on the mend now ,still very sore and wary of food, but no diarrhea at all, unlike child who was sick twice and has been loose for 5 days now, hope to be well asap-wish everyone suffering get well soon too, read thru boards for advice/hope!!
Hi, thanks for this article. I just picked up something like this yesterday afternoon. Feeling a bit better this morning but for about 8 hours it was really rough. Can drink 50/50 water/gatorade now. Man I tell you that lemon lime Gatorade is like the best thing I have ever tasted right now.
I was surprised how quickly this flu takes hold of you. I had only one major bout with vomiting. The diarrhea was the worst I have ever experienced; completely uncontrollable. It was like I had water just running through me with no way to stop it. Laid on the floor after in a semi conscious state for quite some time. To weak to move and then when I came around enough to realize where I was I saw my clothes and hair were soaked in sweat. This happened several times. After about 10 hrs. the diarrhea was less and less. I was very dehydrated and had lower abdomen cramping. I am now on day 4 and over the diarrhea. Just started to get an appetite back this morning. Still drinking loads of liquids. I still have lower ab cramps that are pretty rough at times and legs and lower back aches. Most dangerous thing with this flu is dehydration so drink lots of fluids.
I’m not sure if I have this, but I fall asleep for about an hour, wake up and vomit, and repeat. It’s extremely annoying, because I have nothing in my body to puke up, yet it keeps going. I am starving, and extremely thirsty. It’s been about 10 hours. Any help would be appreciated.
My mom has the stomach flu, or something close to it right now. She’s been violently puking for the past 3 hours and i don’t know what to do. My sister is at the hospital because she has a tear in her heart that is being patched up as I write this and my father is with her. My brother and his girlfriend are both upstairs sleeping and when i wake him up he gets mad, so my mom is laying in her bed on her left side with her knees up, she has a garbage can right next to her just in case, she has a wet cloth draped over her head and she has a water bottle which she is filling up the cap of it with water for fluids. This may not be the stomach flu, but if anyone can think of what it might be, please comment so I can get her some medicine so she’ll be healthy for Christmas! thanks
Just had the some sort of stomach thing on christmas eve – and was up all night paying homage to the porcelin god – what a way to spend santa’s arrival. it was awful… missed all the christmas dinners… finally was able to get some dry toast and peppermint tea down. was a real help. the peppermint tea made all the difference in the world… also my mom gave me some stomach equalizers for after you’ve been sick and you’ve washed out all the good bacteria out of your system. not sure what they’re called – but good if you’ve had a lot of diarrhea.
Hate the stomach flu and I have just had it over the whole Xms holiday. Has anyone experienced a burning in the throat and I guess acid reflux for a couple of days after vomiting? Is it normal?
My little sister is taking valproic acid (liquid ratio form) for seizure control. How long does it have to stay down in her system to know that she has had her dose if she’s throwing up during a stomach flu?
Wow i wish i saw this site a few days ago. Today for me would be Day 6. Last Tuesday morning I woke up with diarhea and extreme stomach cramps. I also vommited bile up about 7 gags but thats all ive puked throughout this ordeal. it was the weirdest thing and I thought it was because of what I ate the night before because I started to feel ok around 11 am or noon. That night I had a little bit of KFC, big mistake it made me feel like shit the next morning until about noon again.
Day 3 and 4 (christmas eve and christmas mind you) it was mostly the same with some slight indegigestion but I was eating pretty normally. Day 5 I woke up at 6 in the morning after 3 hours of sleep with horrible stomach pains and diarhea and I have a very bad anxiety disorder so this only made things worse.
I went to the walk in doctor because it was a saturday and because I thought it was because of my anxiety I was having these pains I didn’t think I had a flu or anything. I got a couple of medications one for the acid in my stomach (zantac) and some light anxiety anti-histemeen but both made me feel weird so im not taking them. I was sick all day and only ate 2 pieces of bread, a little beef jerky and some dried fruit. So this is when I figured I have some kind of bug, starting doing some research and even before I found this site as a reference I kinda narrowed it down. Today I am not feeling great but feel like things are getting a little better I got 8 hours of sleep with brief wake ups, I ate some apple sauce this morning and have been staying hydrated. Wikipedia is also a good resource for figuring out if you have this virus… yogurt is good for shortening symptoms they say.
I’m 3 months pregnant…have this stomach flu since Saturday, but I’v been trying to eat and drink but it comes out one end or the other. Now, when I puke nothing comes out, not even acid..not sure what to do…help!!
I have it now and can’t sleep at all so I grabbed my iPod to google symptoms and things to help. So far I feel a lot better but I’m lying on my back to keep from vomiting. Only problem with this is I can’t sleep unless I’m on my left side so I’m pretty much waiting out the night. I feel like I’m slowly dying.
I had this for a little more then 24 hours. I dropped about 9lbs in that time. Only thing I had was gatorade, toast and apples. The fever and body aches was the worst part about it(it was bad). I was smart enough to keep myself drinking water and gatorade constantly. The only reason I ate something was because I wanted to keep some carbs in my body for energy, even though I was in bed all weekend. The next several days I will take it easy.
Amanda, stay away from the cheese if you have a gastro virus. Doesn’t digest easily. I wanted to put this out there for anyone taking regular medication as something to check with your doctor: the GI tract has virus receptors, but it also has beta receptors. Many elderly people take beta blockers for high blood pressure. But what happens when the GI tract is receiving a gastro virus? Do the beta blockers become toxic to the system, resulting in toxicity (hypotension, brachycardia in the case of beta blockers)? The elderly person would be admitted to hospital with symptoms of heart failure (fainting, pale skin, low or no pulse), and medical staff may assume the heart medication needs adjustment, but could the GI illness be the temporary cause of the medication not being received well by the body?
My friend got sick at about 8pm I wasn’t even helping him or using the same restroom and by 5am I was violently vomiting 10 times in a row. I suppose I was lucky as he had it coming out both ends. However he was well w/in 24 hrs. I took 2 days to get past the horrible headache and body pains. I just stayed in bed & took gingerale, popsicles, & chicken broth & saltines when ready.
But now my poor daughter has it & as of now has thrown up 5 times. She does not seem to have the body aches & no diarrhea. But her tummy really hurts.
I am doing my best to do what I have learned from my mom which seems to match up w/the information I found here.
Thank you!
I have the stomach flu now! My stomach is cramping and lets just say I can’t keep anything in and it comes out both ways. It came on suddenly, however this article is helpful because I needed to know if I could take in water and what I should not try to eat, although at this time nothing sounds good to me.
I am on the downside of an awful bug which came on quickly and with incredible intensity 3 days ago. For a nightmarish 8 hours my body emptied all of my fluids except my blood, every way imaginable (sometimes simultaneously). I was so dehydrated my kidneys were hurting. I sipped very small amounts of watered Gatorade for a day and now am drinking sweet tea in small amounts. I feel a lot better and even managed to get out today to run errands. I do not have an appetite but it’s been 3 full days (72 hours) since I’ve had anything but fluids. Going to try some chicken soup and crackers. I’ve been sick plenty of times in my life and once had food poisoning while I was in the Marines when we stopped in a West African county. But this bug has to rate high up there. My throat was raw from the violent force of puking even when there was nothing left. I smiled at the earlier postings of how what an awful experience it was for others. The worst of it seems to be fairly short in duration, although it was a living hell for about 8 hours after it started for real.
Good news is you won’t actually die; Bad news is you’ll feel like it for 24 hours. Here’s the “trick”; bundle up, change your clothes when they’re wet, drink water, don’t eat food, and wait.
McDonalds – Del Mar, CA – stay away! Ate fries and a chicken sandwich; 3 hours later was vomiting every 5-10 minutes. By about the 15th hour I could sleep for an hour or two without vomiting, but it took a full 24 hours to stop completely. Note: Food is not a good idea even after 24 hours; I would wait 48 hours or longer if you can. Fever, chills, cold sweats, body aches, stomach cramps, and a bit of a soar throat (probably from vomiting) has persisted into day 3, but symptoms do dissipate over time.
If you do get this virus, drink water in those first 24 hours; it won’t stop the puking, but it feels a lot better than a choking stomach cramp when you don’t have anything in your stomach. Day two, bundle up and get as much sleep as you can stand.
Good luck.
I am just getting over the stomach flu. It took 5 days to get to this point. I was nauseated for two days before I spent the next two days in the bathroom. I never vomitted but enough came out the other end. I still have some nausea but am taking it slow. There was a point that I was considering the emergency room. Can’t wait until this is all over and I am back to some what of a normal state
I see some people get over this in a day or two, while others take much longer. I am glad I am not the only one taking so long – not that I wish illness for anyone but it makes me hope that I am not dying from this! I have been sick since December 16/09…nearly 3 weeks now. I stopped vomitting the first few days, diareah has only been bad some days but I feel too sick and weak to get out of bed and terrible stomach and intestinal pain, don’t want to eat anything but terribly hungry etc..bad gas, nausea (but no vomitting now), and very achy.
I live alone up a mountain and have to hike far through deep snow in and out in winter, very tough going when I am well…impossible to do when I am sick. I have lots of winter supplies in thank God but there is no going to get Gatorade or Coke or anything else as I am stuck here until I am better. I have been out twice for supplies since this hit me on December 16th (on December 24th and December 30th) and both times the physical effort/hike has set me back a lot. I will HAVE to go out this week again though, so I am hoping I will be over this very soon – three weeks is long enough to be so sick!
Definitely give your stomach a rest. I know it is hard not to crave food especially after just driking clear fluids for 24-48 hours. That is about the time period that you will feel better and think you can handle solid food, but take the advise of many in the forum and give your tummy a rest for a few more days. If food is needed stick to the BRAT diet (Bannana, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast). I also found Gatorade and flat ginger ale great in helping you go through this along with chicken broth. Avoid these foods:
Milk and dairy products
Fried, greasy, or spicy foods
Rich desserts
Raw fruits and vegetables such as corn on the cob, onions, beets, raisins, figs, and cherries
Citrus fruits (oranges, pineapples, grapefruits) and juices
Alcohol and caffeinated drinks
I am on day 4 right now and I am hoping to get over this soon.
I have been to the ER twice in the past 14 hours first for vomitting for 8 hours straight every five minutes, to extreme cramping for the next. The pain was so bad that I just hung half over the wheelchair wincing in pain. They did a CT scan an eleven hours later they said I was fine. Oh yeah? Still no improvement on my side. Can anyone tell m when I stand up or get out of bed, I cant walk or see right? HELP
This is a nasty bug, it came on suddenly with my son he is 2. After 10 hrs of vomiting I took him to ER, sa few days later he was still sensative , could not eat dairy..Just when I thought it was gone ..I got it! And I felt like I was hit by a truck, body aches and vomiting. I tried liquid anti nausea med(it worked) then I took an adult dose of my sons motrin, that got rid of the fever…2 days later Im trying to eat..tired and dizzy…This Is A bad bug ..watch out!!!
Had the stomach flu almost a week ago. Had the worst body aches, vomiting for a good 4 hrs stright and a really high fever. It lasted for about 2 days. And still to this day my stomach hasnt been the same. Have no appitite really so I make myself take in something like crackers or jello but thats about it. The nausea and pain has gotten worse. Could this be the lingering of the stomach flu or something else?
i woke up in the middle of the night with the squirts. I got up out of bed every 20 minutes to use the toilet. my body feels week. so im trying not to be a crybaby, im drinking water , and im telling myself im not that sick.
I was feeling pretty sorry for myself until I read these posts! I feel so bad for all the people who have had such awful symptoms for such a long time. Mine has only been going on for about 1-1/2 days, and the symptoms aren’t nearly as bad as the ones described here. I’ve had a little nausea (no vomiting) and a little diarrhea. It’s the body aches that have knocked me out. I feel like I’ve been run over by a Mac Truck! I’ve been drinking lots of water, and I’ve eaten dry toast, weak tea, bananas and applesauce. Grilled cheese is my long-time “comfort food,” and I’m dying to eat that, but I’ll wait. Good luck to everybody who reads these posts and to those who have written them.
around 4am I woke up extremely nausious and vomitted immediately…more than I had in a long time. I’ve never had this be4 so I assumed it was something I ate. Tried to go back to bed but before I knew it I was back over the toilet. I vomitted continuously until 10 in the morning. Slept for an hour, drank a few sips of some flat gingerale, then some gatorade. Ate some jello and apple sauce…slept through the night. Still have the bug, but fortunately no more vomitting and I ate some nachos this morning, I know that doesn’t seem like a good choice but I usually eat whatever I crave when I’m sick..since I don’t crave much food at all with the flu. Its been about 3 hours since I ate. No problems yet..but getting hungry again. I’ve only had this for a day and a half..and that’s too long for me. Sorry to all those who have had it for longer!
I am just getting over what everyone is talking about. I haven’t been sick since I was a kid so its been really wierd for me. I ate mcdondalds 2 days before I got sick and was wondering how many other people ate mcdondalds on this site and got sick. I don’t know if 2 days is too long for it have stayed in my system to make me sick but I thought I would ask you guys and see if there is a trend of sickness going on here. Thanks.
Well i just got it today. After 7 hours of exposure im feeling a bit better. I just hope i feel better for my exams are coming up. This is the second time ive gotten it and this time is going much better.
I’ve had the stomach flu for a day, and missed school just because of it… I woke up at 2 in the morning and felt nauseous, so I quickly ran to the bathroom. Once I lifted the lid on the toilet I was blowing chunks… and it persisted for the whole day (along with diarrhea). I seriously thought I was going to die. Thankfully when my dad came home from work, he purchased some 7-up for me and my stomach problems were gone =D It was still a horrible experience lol
I am going through this yucky virus right now. It started at about 2 am and hasn’t calmed down at all. I take little sips of water and even that gets thrown up. Whenever I need to vomit I have to sit on the toilet as well because what comes out the top even more comes out the bottom. I’m shaking violently because of my low sugar. My body aches so bad it hurts to even move. I have a fever of 100.2 and that won’t go down. I even took some ibuprofen, doesn’t budge. I’m a little worried at this point, I’ve had this but never this bad. I’m not sure when to say that’s enough I’m going to the er! Help me out here:)
I agree completely with Ken. I’m doing the exact same thing.
I’ve been poorly with this gastroentiritis for 5 days now, ended up going to my GP this morning….he says it hits adults harder than children. Vomitting and diaorrhea only lasted for 1 day, but the taste of vomit in my mouth just won’t go away and I constantly feel nauseous.I’m sleeping loads and my energy levels are relly low. Stay off work if you can and try to get rid of it by taking it easy, don’t drink tea or coffee and try to avoid the smell of food coking (espcially fried onions, my husband is cooking them as we speak and I really feel sick!!). Good luck
I feel horrible and nothing is working
got this “bug” on tursday night. it’s now monday night and i’m over the vomiting and dirreah, but feel extreamly weak. today i have been able to eat a banana, crackers, applesauce, and one egg. i have lost 6 pounds! it sucks
but i would recomend gatorade to everyone, i think the electrolyts really helped me bounce back. anyone know how long it will take to be “normal” agian?
Omfg idk if I got a stomach virus and I been to the ER like 500times in less then 2 weeks. My niece had da stomach virus, passed it on. I felt a little nauseas seeing her throw up but then went away. After I took my flu shot and the h1ni shot {which my mom didn’t want me 2 take da h1n1 shot but I didn’t know } I freaking been feeling nauseas for a week and freaking 3-4 days. Doctors didn’t know what I had but I read this and I guess I have da virus. But I don’t throw up or diahreahhh. Man I’m fucking scared !! Its 3:26am and I can’t fucking sleep. This shit has me feeling hungry and my stomach and me feeling like crap!
What an ordeal. It started with my husband. We had all gone out to dinner and as soon as we got home my husband started violently vomitting. I wad trying to check on him while putting my 10 month old to bed. After putting my son to sleep i went to check on my husband and he was passed out on the bathroom floor with what looked like a face full of hives. I wad shocked and said we had to go to the er. I called my mom to stay with the baby and we hit the road. We were both convinced it was an allergic reaction to shellfish. When we got there the docs put him on pain meds for his headache, anti nausea meds and fluids. The doc said that he did not have hives but he actually burst all of the capalaries in his eyes and face from vomitting so violently! He looks like a raspberry. The headache didn’t go away do they thought he had meningitis. They did a spinal and it came back negative. All the while I’m starting to feel nauseas but attest it to exhaustion. We get home around 7am the next day and I pass put only to wake up to the worst diarrhea of my life. Now it’s two days later, my husbands starting to feel better and I’m on deaths door. To make it worse my son is having diarrhea. I really hope he’s not next my poor litle guy.
Day two of this awful stomach virus. It came on yesterday morning around 7:30 am with a slight headache and a mild stomach ache. By 11 am forget it, the virus was in full force, my body was soooo achy, my stomach hurt and the nausea was unbearable. I just laid in the bed moaning for the first 14 hours sipping on ginger ale, coke syrup and bitters. When I couldn’t bear it any longer, I took 2 tylenol PM to quell the pain and allow me to sleep – it worked thank goodness!!
This was by far the most painful stomach virus I have experienced in years. Glad it’s on the way out. Hang in there fellow sufferes, get as much rest as you can and feel better soon.
I had it on tuesday vomited about 40 times, as in today i have wet diarreah n my nephew just got it n he threw up all over my college books ;(
Just getting over 2 1/2 days of mild stomach bug.. plenty of diarrhea, but no vomiting or nausea. Light cramps at times. I switched over to brown rice and banannas (Basmati has a nice, nutty taste) which helped settle the stomach, and I think–plug me up a bit. My parents used to feed me that when I was overseas as a kid. I would stay away from ‘normal’ foods and try those. Good luck!
worst nightmare ever!!!
Struck with mono about two weks ago. Since my immune is already so weak I became prone to other illnesses i.e. the sliver under your nails stomach flu. Woke up around 3:31 a.m. vommiting with sweat and tears. Kept at it with an addition of diareah till 7 a.m. Passed out until 10ish and have been forcing fluids ever since. On top of mono, I want/wanted to die. Thankfully, some wonderful friends brought me some sick goodies (powerade and dramamine). Still have the squirts, its gross. Its like water passing thru me. Anyway, this thread has loads of wonderful advice. Your body can handle without food for +24hrs, but with all this liquid leaving your body, force fluids! Its been about 13hrs since the worst. Feel better people,
guys i’ve been told by two different doctors to have plain yogurt. i vomitted everything i ate yesterday (which wasn’t much) so today have started with plain yogurt and i’m already feeling better.
I got the bug from my lil 7 year old sister. My legs and arms are aching and my stomach feels horrible! My tummy feels like I’m hungry but whenever I picture or smell food, my stomach feels weak. I threw up twice last night and woke up feeling a lil better. I’m drinking plenty of Gatorade and Ginger ale. I just ate some crackers and dry toast a while ago. So far I’m holding it down. I feel like I have to use the toilet like I have diarhea but nothing comes out. I hate this I never felt this bad before!
ugh, been sitting in bed all day and have had it for like a week. dont no y but i still can barely eat and have been so weak lightly
I had this bug Saturday night and all day Sunday. Monday felt better but very weak. I ate some dry cereal and a few crackers all day. Felt great Monday night. Tuesday got up and fixed breakfast for the kids I wasn’t hungry but ate a littl anyway. A half hour later I felt sick again. Today is Thursday and everytime I’ve eaten anything I feel sick. I’ve only eaten when I am truelly famished beause I’m tired of all the vomiting. Has anyone else felt this way. It’s been 5 days. Any comments would be appreciated. (No I am definately not pregnant:)
It started on Monday for me. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and these incredible stomach cramps that had me doubled over. Luckily the worst of it only the lasted that day. I’ve had persisting nausea and dizziness for 5 days now. I got the bug from my dad, who’s still not 100% after 9 days!! I’m leaving for Cuba in 4 days, so I hope this thing clears up! Any idea how long you’re contagious for??
