This directory is a listing of U.S. hospital, outpatient care, and surgical care websites. There are many services that local hospitals and outpatient facilities can perform for you. Your local hospital website is a good place to start for health information, finding a doctor, or treatment options. You can also search for specialty hospitals, find a hospital for a loved one in another state, or find out about the hospitals in an area where you are planning to move.
Most hospitals offer information about diagnostic test, treatments, surgical procedures and what you should do before coming to the hospital to prepare for special tests or surgery. Many hospitals also provide information for home health care services you many need once you return home.
It is particularly important for you to have a health care power of attorney and living will. Check to see if your hospital provides an online version of these forms that you can download, fill out, and take to the hospital with you. The forms are often provided in languages common to the local area.
Some Hospitals also offer classes in weight loss, newborn care and rehab such as for hip or knee replacement, stroke, brain injury, or heart attack.
